Senior Legal and Employee Relations Specialist

Senior Partner for Human Resources and Legal Affairs

We are looking for a seasoned expert to manage the dynamics between the organization, Human Resources, and the Works Council in Germany. This position is pivotal in nurturing a collaborative environment between the Employer and the Works Council, ensuring adherence to all legal standards while aligning with the company's strategic objectives. Key responsibilities encompass overseeing legal proceedings related to employee issues, spearheading data protection initiatives, and engaging in various HR projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Representing the employer in discussions with the Works Council
  • Promoting a positive working relationship between the Works Council and the employer
  • Addressing requests and negotiations from the Works Council
  • Coordinating cross-departmental topics
  • Supporting data protection initiatives concerning the Works Council
  • Delivering training on German labor legislation
  • Managing projects for legal compliance and effective solutions
  • Assisting global HR Business Partners with various initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Law, Economics, or Human Resources with comprehensive knowledge of German labor law
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager within Germany
  • Exceptional communication abilities in both English and German
  • Capacity to translate legal expertise into business outcomes
  • Strong skills in negotiation and relationship management
