Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to join our team at Gas Chromatography Systems MAXUM GmbH. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling our MAXUM Gas Chromatographs to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, renewables, and other industries in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create sales opportunities in the CRM system by observing and identifying customer needs.
  • Track relevant sales leads and ensure follow-up, adhering to commercial law and ethical principles.
  • Visit customers to deepen existing relationships or establish new ones.
  • Process customer inquiries and forward them to the central quotation department.
  • Check and manage quotations and orders.
  • Utilize Valmet's sales tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, central sales support, and operations teams to clarify questions and develop solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, engineering technology, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in the process industry and/or automation technology.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to turn customer problems into commercial solutions.
  • Fluency in German and English, with good intercultural communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic business environment and apply problem-solving skills under time pressure.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of working time within the sales territory, with occasional international travel.
  • Valid car driver's license.
