Master Data Governance Specialist

For the Master Data Management division, we are seeking a Business Process Expert in Master Data Governance (m/f/d) :

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, consult, and implement solutions in the realm of SAP Material Master (MM).
  • Transform business needs regarding master data into epics, features, or user stories suitable for agile methodologies.
  • Ensure efficient master data maintenance workflows and document related data processes and structures using UML or BPM.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and various departments within the central service organization to align requirements.
  • Promote a cohesive data architecture and governance between SAP and non-SAP systems, while maintaining a comprehensive data dictionary for sustainable documentation.
  • Specify interfaces for the distribution of master data to subsystems.
  • Assist in data migrations, focusing on data mapping, migration strategies, and cleansing concepts, as well as coordinating migration activities or executing migrations during rollouts or mergers and acquisitions.

Candidate Profile:

  • A university degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in IT.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in SAP Master Data Management, specifically for Material Master.
  • Familiarity with Variant Configuration, Customer Master, and Vendor Master is advantageous.
  • Knowledge in SAP PLM is a plus.
  • Proficiency in ABAP is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills for complex data, process, and system landscapes.
  • A blend of analytical and business acumen with a profound technical understanding.
  • Excellent communication skills within an international context, including strong presentation abilities at management levels.
  • Self-motivated, open-minded, and proactive.
  • Experience with AGILE / SCRUM methodologies.
  • Proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken) is essential.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (< 20%).
