Barback | Bar Clara

Fotografiska Berlin GmbH is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Barback to join our esteemed team at Bar Clara. As a key member of our beverage team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our discerning guests.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Service Preparation: Ensure the bar is set and ready for service, with detailed attention to keeping the bar fully stocked throughout service and restocked end of service for the following shift.
- Bar Setup and Breakdown: Set up and break down the bar with attention to detail and consistency, always following the set checklist for all duties.
- Inventory Management: Check inventory par levels to ensure the bar team has access to all liquor products, mixers, and collateral, available at their disposal at all times throughout service.
- Liquor Storage and Organization: Maintain a detailed organization of liquor storage, wine cellar inventory, and all liquor product placement. Ability to receive and stock deliveries in the correct areas of the Bar Clara operations, with a clear and organized approach.
- Glassware Management: Clear, wash, and re-stock glassware throughout the shift, maintaining correct par levels of clean glassware at all bar and floor stations for service.
- Cocktail Preparation: Follow recipes and par guidelines to make specialty syrups, juices, and garnishes.
- Drink Menu Knowledge: Maintain a thorough working knowledge of drink menus to assist bar staff with the running of drinks and the ability to articulate to guests in an engaged and thoughtful manner.
- Coffee and Tea Service: Maintain a thorough working knowledge of coffee and tea menus and be able to articulate to guests in an engaged and thoughtful manner.
- Beverage Knowledge: Thorough working knowledge of all beverages: coffee/tea/non-alcoholic/wines/beers/spirits.
- Service Standards: Consistently follow the Bar Clara sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by the F&B leadership team.
- Ice Management: Transporting ice to multiple levels and keeping ice levels for all bar activations.
- Bar Fridge Maintenance: Maintain bar fridge cleanliness and maintenance, defrosting of bar fridges to accurate temperature's if required.
- Guest Interaction: Competency in conversing with Members and Guests regarding Fotografiska programs and amenities.
- Customer Service: Impeccable customer service by responding promptly to Member / Guest requests and soliciting feedback to the Leadership team to always improve service.
- Team Collaboration: Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
- Cocktail and Wine Knowledge: Knowledge of craft and classic cocktails along with old world / new world wines a plus.
