Lead Software Research Scientist

Position Overview:
As a key contributor in our organization, you will be responsible for the conception and execution of feasibility studies aimed at validating innovative development concepts. Your role will ensure that high standards of experimental quality and thorough theoretical understanding are maintained throughout all phases of product development, from initial research to full-scale production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and conduct feasibility experiments to validate new development concepts.
  • Maintain exceptional experimental quality and deep theoretical insights during all stages of product development.
  • Address complex challenges by devising effective solutions and strategies, showcasing your problem-solving skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop control software for hardware components.
  • Play a vital role in the product development lifecycle, ensuring comprehensive and clear documentation.
  • Apply principles and strategies related to intellectual property in drafting invention disclosures, patents, and publications, safeguarding innovative ideas and technologies.
  • Represent the organization positively through productive interactions with external clients and collaborators.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial or academic settings, particularly in developing sophisticated software solutions for analytical instrumentation.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently, with a structured and detail-oriented scientific approach.
  • Proficient in designing and implementing automated instrument tuning routines using Python or similar scripting languages.
  • Knowledgeable in instrument control, scripting, or automation of experimental processes.
  • Experience in mass spectrometry and its applications is advantageous.
