Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

We are collaborating with a leading international producer of 3D printing technology, encompassing printers, scanners, and software solutions. In light of their ongoing expansion in Germany, they are seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst (m/f/d) to assist with a project focused on enhancing statutory financial documentation, tax filings, and other necessary submissions for their German operations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will possess in-depth expertise in German GAAP, taxation, and statutory reporting, along with significant experience in overseeing and rectifying financial reports for German enterprises, while working closely with auditors.

Planning:

  • Evaluate the current status of statutory, tax, and audit reporting for one dormant and two active German entities.

Statutory Financial Reporting:

  • Guarantee the precision, completeness, and adherence of financial statements in line with German GAAP and other local standards.
  • Work in partnership with local consultants to prepare and review statutory financial statements and tax returns.
  • Facilitate and oversee statutory audit processes.

Compliance and Taxation:

  • Ensure compliance with all German statutory and tax obligations.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors to resolve compliance challenges and ensure accurate tax submissions.

Internal Controls:

  • Evaluate and enhance internal controls related to statutory reporting and tax submissions.
  • Implement best practices to avert future discrepancies and maintain ongoing compliance with German GAAP and tax regulations.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Fluency in both German and English, with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Expertise in German GAAP, tax laws, and statutory submission protocols.
  • Extensive experience in German statutory accounting and taxation, with a proven history of managing financial reporting and/or audit projects for German companies.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to lead and execute intricate financial reporting initiatives.
  • Robust analytical skills to identify and rectify financial discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and technologies, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to excel and work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.
