We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Amentum. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks on the CH-47 aircraft, including assembly, modification, and repair of major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and related systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of aircraft components and systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve issues with aircraft systems and components.
- Assemble, modify, and repair aircraft components and systems, including fuel, heat, lubrication, hydraulic, engine, and transmission systems.
- Install and align fuselage parts, tail rotor assemblies, and flight control systems.
- Direct the work of lower-graded mechanics and coordinate with related trades to ensure proper sequence of aircraft assembly process.
- High School Graduate or equivalent required.
- Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience required.
- FAA A&P or FCC Elements 1 and 3 required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance, NAC-I T1 Public Trust.
- US Citizenship required for T1/CAC NACI Clearance.
The selected candidate must be able to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds. Occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.
