About the Role
Menzies Aviation is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of our station, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service and the maintenance of high safety and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the station, including the startup of ITP operations.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, airport authorities, and third-party suppliers.
- Monitor and report on performance against service delivery standards and take corrective action as necessary.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of accidents and near-misses.
- Comply with JIG Standards and address/report as appropriate.
- Ensure adherence to Company business principles for the management of HSSE.
- Manage equipment maintenance and supervise staff for proper performance and conduct.
- Responsible for regular assessments and inspections of operations according to JIG, Company, and HSSE requirements.
- Apply Company HR policies and manage employee relations.
- Manage and assist with the preparation of budgets and the raising and issue of purchase orders.
- Define training needs of employees and contractors involved in the prevention, control, and mitigation of major accident hazards.
- Ensure all personnel, employees, contractors, and external parties involved in the management of major accident hazards are well informed/trained.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of general business management.
- Demonstrable experience of Health, Safety & Environmental Management.
- Experience in an Aviation Operational Management position (desired).
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining effective working relationships, with business partners and suppliers.
- Proven extensive experience in team leadership and development.
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
- Ability to prioritise workload in order of urgency and importance.
- Excellent Communication skills written and oral.
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
- Demonstrable skills and experience of product handling and control.
- Demonstrable experience in Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Management.
