About the Role

Menzies Aviation is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of our station, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service and the maintenance of high safety and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the station, including the startup of ITP operations.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, airport authorities, and third-party suppliers.
  • Monitor and report on performance against service delivery standards and ensure corrective action is taken to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of accidents and near-misses, and adherence to JIG Standards and customer business principles for the management of HSSE.
  • Supervise and manage staff for proper performance and conduct, and ensure compliance with company HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage and assist with the preparation of budgets and the raising and issue of purchase orders to suppliers and contractors.
  • Define training needs of employees and contractors involved in the prevention, control, and mitigation of major accident hazards.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of general business management and experience in an Aviation Operational Management position.
  • Demonstrable experience of Health, Safety & Environmental Management and proven experience in developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Proven extensive experience in team leadership and development, and ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
  • Excellent Communication skills written and oral, and proficiency in all Microsoft applications.
