About the Role

Menzies Aviation is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of our station, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service and the maintenance of high safety and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the station, including the supervision of staff and the management of resources.
  • Develop and implement effective working relationships with customers, airport authorities, and third-party suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including JIG and Company business principles.
  • Monitor and report on performance against established standards and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Supervise and manage staff to ensure proper performance and conduct.
  • Responsible for regular assessments of operations and safety at the station, managing to handle inspections according to JIG, Company, and HSSE requirements.
  • Apply Company HR policies, manage employee relations, and responsible for the recruitment of new personnel.
  • Manage and assist with the preparation of budgets and the raising and issue of purchase orders to suppliers and contractors.
  • Define training needs of employees and contractors involved in the prevention, control, and mitigation of major accident hazards.
  • Ensure all personnel, employees, contractors, and external parties involved in the management of major accident hazards are well informed/trained.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of general business management.
  • Demonstrable experience of Health, Safety & Environmental Management.
  • Experience in an Aviation Operational Management position (desired).
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining effective working relationships, with business partners and suppliers.
  • Proven extensive experience in team leadership and development.
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
  • Ability to prioritise workload in order of urgency and importance.
  • Excellent Communication skills written and oral.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
  • Demonstrable skills and experience of product handling and control.
  • Demonstrable experience in Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Management.
