As a Principal Project Manager at Workday, you will transcend the traditional role of a Project Manager, becoming a trusted advisor to our extensive enterprise clientele. Your responsibilities will include engaging with clients, providing guidance, and ensuring successful implementation of Workday's premier cloud enterprise software solutions.
You will drive client implementations by establishing project plans, staffing requirements, governance structures, and shaping the development of critical project deliverables. Leading cross-functional teams, you will ensure the successful delivery of large-scale and complex Workday deployments. Acting as the primary liaison for both clients and Workday teams, you will collaborate closely with the Customer Project Manager to creatively and effectively resolve any challenges that may impede project success. Your objective is to deliver anticipated value to our clients on schedule and within budget, ensuring an exceptional customer experience from project initiation through to go-live.

About You
This role demands a unique blend of business acumen, customer-centric focus, and leadership capabilities to guide and support deployments, ensuring success for both clients and teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- Languages: Proficiency in German and English
- Over 5 years of demonstrated experience in program/project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
- 5+ years of expertise in HCM, Payroll, Financials, or Supply Chain domains
- Experience in multinational organizations and ERP implementations
- A successful candidate will possess a balanced mix of functional (business) and technical expertise
Other Qualifications:
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including comfort in engaging with senior executives
- Leadership skills to empower and focus project teams on deployment objectives
- A proven track record in delivering Project Management within a Professional Services context
- A strong passion for client success
- Adept at efficiently researching client issues and questions, following through to resolution
- Experience managing third-party vendors in project settings
- A willingness to actively contribute and assist wherever necessary
