Position Overview:

Your responsibilities in this role:

  • Oversee and coordinate the comprehensive planning of designated Flight Test Campaigns, including resource allocation, to ensure the endorsement of Flight Test Definitions (FTD) and Flight Test Orders (FTO).
  • Ensure compliance with the Flight Test Organization in the Flight Test Engineering (FTE) capacity.
  • Deliver development and certification flight test documentation within MOC5/MOC6/MOC8 frameworks.
  • Serve as a Flight Test Subject Matter Expert (SME) in your specific field of expertise.
  • Assist the Head of Flight Test (HoFT), Chief Flight Test Engineer (CFTE), and Senior Flight Test Engineer (SFTE) in evaluating Flight Test Requests based on their complexity.
  • Draft Flight Test Definitions (FTD) for assigned flight test campaigns.
  • Act as a representative of the HoFT/CFTE for FTO approvals when formally assigned.
  • Function as Test Conductor (TC) during test execution, contingent upon competency verification.
  • Generate, review, and/or approve Flight Test Reports.
Qualifications:

Essential skills and experience:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Flight Test Engineer involved in the aircraft development and certification process.
  • Proficient in Flight Test data post-processing and analysis (e.g., Matlab or similar tools).
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to local and international flight test sites for various short to medium-term flight test campaigns.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Possession of an FTE Certificate from an EASA-accredited Flight Test School.
  • Experience in rotary wing flight testing or multi-rotor UAVs.
  • Background as a Test Conductor or Test Director in a flight test capacity, either onboard or from a telemetry control station.
