Aerospace Flight Test Engineer

Your responsibilities in this role:
- Oversee and coordinate the comprehensive planning of designated Flight Test Campaigns, including resource allocation, to secure approval for Flight Test Definitions (FTD) and Flight Test Orders (FTO).
- Ensure compliance with the Flight Test Organization in the Flight Test Engineering (FTE) capacity.
- Deliver development and certification flight test documentation within MOC5/MOC6/MOC8 frameworks.
- Offer expertise as a Flight Test Subject Matter Expert (SME) in your specific field.
- Assist the Head of Flight Test (HoFT), Chief Flight Test Engineer (CFTE), and Senior Flight Test Engineer (SFTE) in evaluating Flight Test Requests based on their complexity.
- Draft Flight Test Definitions (FTD) for assigned flight test campaigns.
- Serve as a representative of the HoFT/CFTE for FTO approvals when formally designated.
- Act as Test Conductor (TC) during the execution of tests if qualified through competency assessment.
- Generate, review, and/or approve Flight Test Reports.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- 5-7 years of experience as a Flight Test Engineer involved in the aircraft development and certification processes.
- Proficient in flight test data post-processing and analysis (using tools such as Matlab or similar).
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel to various flight test locations for short to medium-term campaigns.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possession of an FTE Certificate from an EASA-accredited Flight Test School.
- Experience in rotary wing flight testing or multi-rotor UAVs.
- Experience serving as Test Conductor or Test Director in flight test operations, either onboard or from a telemetry control station.
