About the Role
GWD Energy GmbH is a leading service provider in the development, engineering, procurement, and construction operations (DEPCO) for various new energy projects and systems. As a pioneer of clean energy and sustainable ecosystems, we focus on customized solutions ranging from distributed rooftop PV power station design, installation, and construction, operation, and maintenance to energy storage systems, etc., for households, industrial, and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review standard documents, terms, agreements, and provide legal support for daily operations of the company.
- Assist the compliance team in setting up and implementing compliance management systems.
- Coordinate certain legal processes such as notarization of company documents, application and maintenance of business licenses in different jurisdictions, completion of certain questionnaires (KYC) from authorities or suppliers.
- Support data privacy activities in accordance with EU legislation under the guidance of the team.
- Handle legal issues related to business activities within the EU.
- Conduct phone conversations with clients, courts, and authorities, and independently handle correspondence in German and English.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent qualification.
- Fluent in Chinese, English, and German.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Familiarity with local EU information security regulations, EU internal power-related policies, and business rules.
- Capable of handling legal issues related to business activities within the EU.
- Strong organizational skills and a desire to understand the business and company relationships.
- Excellent team collaborator with strong communication skills.
- Prior interest or experience in residential photovoltaics or renewable energy field is a plus.
- Language requirement: Must be able to speak Chinese.
