Position Overview:
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will be responsible for shaping and directing the organization's information security strategy to ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement a robust information security strategy that supports the organization's goals and adheres to legal standards.
- Oversee the creation, execution, and maintenance of extensive information security programs, policies, and protocols.
- Evaluate, identify, and address cybersecurity vulnerabilities and threats through systematic risk assessments.
- Lead and nurture a dedicated Cybersecurity Team to enhance security posture.
- Establish practical security benchmarks informed by industry best practices.
- Act as the primary liaison for all global locations regarding inquiries related to information and IT security, as well as compliance in audits and assessments.
- Provide expert security advice to various departments and project teams to ensure secure implementation of solutions.
- Manage relationships with external security service providers while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related IT field, complemented by relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of contemporary IT security products and solutions, especially within cloud environments, alongside familiarity with information security standards, tools, and methodologies.
- Expertise in IT and information security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 2700x, CIS Controls, BSI Grundschutz, CoBIT).
- Understanding of IT security regulations and NIS guidelines.
- Experience in managing relationships with external vendors.
- Strong customer service orientation paired with excellent communication skills.
- A high level of analytical ability and a collaborative mindset.
- Experience with internal and external security audits, along with the ability to provide regular progress updates, is preferred.
- Fluency in both German and English, with a willingness to travel as needed.
