Director of Internal Audit - Career Opportunity
BOARDLINK Executive Consultants International is representing a prominent organization within the Financial Services domain, specifically catering to the healthcare sector. This esteemed company has a proven track record of effectively overseeing a variety of healthcare facilities and service providers. The primary objective of this position is to uphold and enhance the internal control frameworks, ensuring the utmost quality in audit operations. This encompasses the assessment and refinement of current processes, alongside the introduction of innovative audit methodologies aimed at boosting efficiency and transparency across the organization.
We are currently in search of a 'Director of Internal Audit' (m/f/d) to fill a key leadership role. In this capacity, you will spearhead the internal audit division, ensuring adherence to all pertinent legal and operational standards. Your duties will involve executing thorough audits, supervising internal controls, and guaranteeing compliance at the corporate level. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in initiating sustainable improvements and steering the strategic evolution of the department.
You will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer of the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Overseeing the Internal Audit department within the organization
- Leading a team of two professionals
- Conducting audits on high-risk, strategic, and intricate subjects as well as corporate initiatives while adhering to legal and regulatory standards
- Directing audits and compiling audit reports
- Presenting audit findings and reports to senior management, the board, and supervisory bodies
- Monitoring the execution of recommendations
- Collaborating with external auditors and specialized auditors
- Addressing complex inquiries and providing expert advice
- Ensuring compliance with documentation standards and utilizing audit software
- Degree in Business Administration or a related field in banking oversight or financial services
- Extensive experience in internal auditing within a banking institution, financial entity, or auditing firm
- Proven leadership capabilities or experience
- Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks such as MaRisk
- Strong analytical mindset with a results-oriented approach
- Exceptional presentation and documentation abilities
- Proficiency in audit software
- High degree of commitment and accountability
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel on occasion
