Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Crytek is seeking a highly skilled Lead Site Reliability Engineer to join our team in Frankfurt or remotely. As a key member of our Network Operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and execution of network operations globally.

Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and contract with DC and hosting service providers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee game servers' installation process and coordinate hardware management, traffic management, and game development teams.
  • Coordinate with platform development team to build and enhance the online platform infrastructure.
  • Revisit and troubleshoot existing games server solutions and investigate issues connected to net ops.
  • Establish high-quality-standard processes in regards to net ops and set up high-level targets for online ops and net ops.
  • Automate deployment and monitoring processes.
  • Manage and motivate a team of server engineers, DB administrators, and net ops supporters.
  • Install and connect anti-bot and anti-cheat systems within existing Crytek's services.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience at mid to senior level management.
  • 3+ years of experience in operation of online platforms.
  • Extensive experience of network operations for games as a service.
  • Excellent client service skills & project management skills.
  • Excellent English communication and writing skills.
