Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Crytek is seeking a highly skilled Lead Site Reliability Engineer to join our team in Frankfurt or remotely. As a key member of our Network Operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and execution of network operations globally.

Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and contract with DC and hosting service providers to ensure seamless game server deployment and management.
  • Oversee the installation process of game servers and coordinate hardware management, traffic management, and game development teams.
  • Coordinate with platform development teams to design and implement server solution architecture for PC and console platforms.
  • Collaborate with the engine team to build and enhance the online platform infrastructure.
  • Revisit and troubleshoot existing game server solutions to resolve issues and improve performance.
  • Establish high-quality standards for network operations and set targets for uptime, deployment time, and other key performance indicators.
  • Automate deployment and monitoring processes to improve efficiency.
  • Lead a team of server engineers, DB administrators, and net ops supporters to ensure smooth operations.
  • Implement anti-bot and anti-cheat systems and manage their technical aspects.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience in mid to senior-level management.
  • 3+ years of experience in operating online platforms.
  • Extensive experience in network operations for games as a service.
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent client service and project management skills.
  • Excellent English communication and writing skills.
