Within our Managed Technology division, we provide rental services for audio, video, IT, and communication solutions tailored for international live events. Our comprehensive offerings encompass everything from project planning to on-site execution, ensuring memorable experiences at various events, including music festivals and major sporting competitions.

To enhance our Project Management team, we are seeking a seasoned and well-connected

Programme Director (m/f/d) - Maritime

Our innovative technologies and solutions cater to events across land, water, and air, supporting prestigious international sailing and water sports competitions such as the Americas Cup and SailGP.

These high-stakes sailing events occur in renowned harbors around the globe, including Sydney and San Francisco.

Riedel's offerings span critical communication systems for athletes, coaches, and officials, as well as essential broadcast components like camera boats, helicopters, and replay solutions, facilitating both on-site and remote production. We manage intricate wireless and fiber-based media networks for all disciplines, operating offshore, onshore, and globally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the operational planning, organization, and execution of maritime events and competitions in close collaboration with specialized departments, considering all technological and commercial factors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing independent support and advice while monitoring costs, timelines, workload, and project scope.
  • Strategically develop major individual events and series by enhancing our service offerings in partnership with the sales team.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and improvements to continuously elevate service quality and expand our service portfolio in collaboration with development teams.
  • Manage the operational execution and prepare comprehensive reports and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead by example, taking overall responsibility for the project team on-site and coordinating external personnel and service providers.
  • Collaborate with other programme directors to identify synergies and address organizational topics.
  • Ensure a high standard of quality within the team and in all interactions with stakeholders.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Successfully completed industry-specific apprenticeship, university degree, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Technical background in fields such as media, industrial engineering, or electrical engineering.
  • Extensive professional experience as a programme manager with comprehensive responsibility in the event industry within an international context, including live broadcast experience with on-air responsibilities.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, with a proven track record of building and managing effective relationships both internally and externally.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning and management methodologies.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and extensively on an international scale.
