Our Managed Technology unit specializes in renting out advanced audio, video, IT, and communication solutions for global live events, delivering a full-service experience from initial project planning to on-site execution. We cater to a variety of events, including major festivals and high-profile sporting occasions, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

Director of Maritime Programs (m/f/d)

Utilizing our innovative technologies and solutions, we support events across land, water, and air. This encompasses prestigious international sailing and water sports competitions, such as the Americas Cup and SailGP.

These elite sailing events feature high-performance yachts and take place in renowned harbors worldwide.

Riedel's offerings span critical communication systems for athletes, coaches, and officials, as well as essential broadcast components like camera boats, helicopters, and replay solutions, facilitating both on-site and remote production. We manage intricate wireless and fiber-based media networks for all disciplines, operating globally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the operational planning, organization, and execution of maritime events and competitions, collaborating closely with specialized departments while considering all technological and commercial factors.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing independent support and advice while monitoring costs, timelines, and project scope.
  • Systematically develop major events and series by enhancing our service offerings in partnership with the sales team.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and improvements to continuously expand our service portfolio and quality in collaboration with development teams.
  • Manage the operational execution and prepare comprehensive reports and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead by example, taking overall responsibility for the project team on-site and coordinating external personnel and service providers.
  • Engage with other program directors to identify synergies and address organizational topics.
  • Ensure a high standard of quality within the team and in interactions with all stakeholders.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Successfully completed industry-specific training, a university degree, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Technical background in media, industrial engineering, or electrical engineering.
  • Extensive professional experience as a program manager with comprehensive responsibility in the event industry, particularly in an international context, along with live broadcast experience.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, with a talent for building and managing effective relationships both internally and externally.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning and management methodologies.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and extensively on an international scale.
