We are seeking a new VP of Engineering to lead our efforts from our Munich headquarters.

Responsibilities

You will take charge of streamlining development workflows, managing the platform, and expanding the engineering team both locally and remotely.

With your extensive experience in engineering management and familiarity with SaaS products utilizing modern cloud technologies, you will drive efficient development and operational success.

Your leadership will be crucial in scaling our engineering team, ensuring the timely execution of our product roadmap, and delivering top-notch software consistently.

By focusing on refining our development processes, implementing industry best practices, and nurturing a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across various teams—including engineering, product management, and design—you will convert the company's technological vision into practical, scalable solutions.

Moreover, you will guarantee that our technological infrastructure and related operations are resilient, secure, and capable of supporting our ambitious growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Overseeing engineering team operations and product development execution.
  • Enhancing engineering processes and applying best practices.
  • Managing and expanding the engineering team, emphasizing recruitment, training, and development both locally and remotely.
  • Promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ongoing improvement.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to align technical initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software within budget constraints.
  • Maintaining the robustness, security, and scalability of our technology infrastructure and operations.
  • Providing leadership in daily activities and team management.
Qualifications

Essential Experience:

  • Over 10 years of experience as a software engineer, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing a SaaS product with a deep understanding of:
  1. Cloud DevOps practices and infrastructure management.
  2. Continuous delivery pipelines that provide quality and value to customers through short iterative cycles.
  3. Modern/public API development (Java Spring Boot, C# .NET Core, or similar).
  4. Single-page application development using React, Angular, Vue, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience in scaling teams and processes effectively.
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities, with a focus on mentoring and team development.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical vision and strategy to diverse stakeholders in both German and English.
  • Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on when necessary.
