Role Overview
In the dynamic world of Amazon, the Operations function is essential to our success. This pivotal role ensures that we efficiently fulfill and dispatch orders, guaranteeing timely delivery to our customers. As an Operations Leader, you will unite your team to drive excellence in safety, quality, and productivity across our facilities.

Team Dynamics
Join the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team, a diverse group that plays a crucial role in our operational success. Utilizing various transport methods, including air, sea, and road, along with state-of-the-art sortation centers, you will help optimize Amazon's transportation processes. Our team leverages data to inform decisions, making us more innovative and efficient. Safety is our top priority, as our workforce is our greatest asset, and we rely on their expertise to ensure swift, convenient, and sustainable package delivery.

  • Oversee and nurture a team of Area Managers
  • Direct operational teams during shifts, addressing challenges and enhancing site performance
  • Evaluate shift performance against key business objectives and implement strategies to elevate operational standards
  • Collaborate with support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, to design and execute initiatives that enhance operational performance

A Day in the Life
As a leader at one of our operational sites, you will be the vital link between various teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration. This role allows you to engage with daily operations while contributing to innovative strategies for improvement. Your typical day will include meetings across different business areas, analyzing performance and risk metrics, and preparing for varying demand levels. Mentoring and coaching your team will be integral to your role, as you strive to empower them to excel as managers.

  • A degree
  • Proven experience in managing people and stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English, as well as the local language
  • Experience in utilizing data or anecdotal evidence to guide business decisions
  • Background in key aspects of production and supply chains

Preferred Qualifications
While preferred qualifications are not mandatory for application, they are advantageous. Candidates with the following experience are encouraged to apply:

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
  • Experience in a comparable logistics environment
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional context
