Key Responsibilities
- Foster a culture of safety and well-being within the team.
- Analyze and implement corrective actions to consistently maintain high quality and productivity while ensuring compliance with all corporate objectives across shifts.
- Support and guide a team while managing administrative tasks; build and nurture a strong team culture.
- Evaluate performance and propose process improvements to optimize workflows and customer service.
- Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes.
A Day in the Life
You will work across various shifts at one of our operational sites, primarily focusing on upholding safety standards within your team and across the entire location. Additionally, you will monitor process efficiency. Your daily priorities will include routine team management and operational activities. Other responsibilities may involve handling escalations, implementing process enhancements, and overseeing comprehensive operational contingency planning.
As a vital member of the operations team, you will collaborate with colleagues from different teams and external partners to ensure that we meet both customer requirements and our internal standards at all times. This includes analyzing data and performance metrics alongside leaders in your operational area, as well as discussing the operational pros and cons of technical improvements with the technical team.
About the Team
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) specializes in heavy or bulky items such as furniture and large household appliances. Our team manages the entire service process from procurement to delivery and product returns. Enhanced customer support distinguishes this service from others. In addition to delivering bulky goods, we also handle unpacking, assembling, and installing new products, and we can assist with the disposal of old devices upon request. Our focus is on safety, productivity, and innovation, ensuring that customers can purchase and receive bulky items more easily and conveniently.
We have ambitious plans, including expanding our network of specialized logistics and distribution centers across the UK and Europe. Our colleagues at logistics sites occasionally work night shifts, although most of our team members work during the day. Our team comprises professionals from business management, supply chain, business intelligence, and program management, all playing a crucial role in advancing this segment of our business.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or nearing completion of a bachelor's program.
- Proficient in English and German, both written and spoken.
- Relevant experience in conducting data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience communicating with various stakeholders, including colleagues and leadership.
- Experience in a logistics environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional setting.
