Financial Analyst Internship in Supplier Risk Management

Role Overview:

This internship offers a unique opportunity to delve into the complexities of financial supplier risk management within the automotive sector. As part of the Financial Supplier Risk Management team, you will engage with critical challenges such as technological advancements, global supply chain disruptions, and fluctuating raw material costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial risk assessments of the supplier portfolio.
  • Prepare comprehensive business analyses utilizing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Collaborate in the planning, controlling, and reporting of specialized supplier services.
  • Generate statistical analyses and evaluations for the supplier portfolio.
  • Assist in developing supplier risk maps to evaluate suppliers across different geographical regions.
  • Draft decision-making documents for management committees in both German and English.
  • Participate in supplier meetings, both virtually and in-person.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Administration or Economics, preferably with a focus on Accounting or Corporate Finance.
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry, management consulting, or auditing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with financial statement analysis and risk management is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong commitment and ability to work independently.
  • Team-oriented with analytical thinking skills.
