Responsibilities

Position Overview

Nickel is in search of a Sales & Growth Manager to facilitate the widespread adoption of Nickel throughout Germany by launching, developing, and managing a network of points of sale across the country. Our objective is to successfully establish 5,000 points of sale over the next five years.

You will report directly to the CEO of Nickel Germany and will be an integral member of the German Management Committee. This role will require travel throughout Germany.

The primary points of sale for Nickel are mainly Lotto Toto shops in Germany, which are registered as payment agents. In addition to direct business relationships with these points of sale, Nickel has identified key strategic distribution partners in Germany that can introduce us to numerous points of sale, such as ILO Profit.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing the distribution strategy for Nickel in Germany;
  • Recruiting, training, and managing your sales team (currently 10 Sales Representatives);
  • Overseeing relationships with our distribution partners;
  • Identifying potential new distribution partners and key accounts;
  • Expanding the Nickel network in Germany by prospecting new points of sale;
  • Training and launching new points of sale;
  • Conducting regular visits to the points of sale;
  • Defining and monitoring key sales performance indicators;
  • Implementing an effective team structure;
  • Establishing and managing an annual sales and distribution budget;
  • Regularly presenting results and forecasts to Top Management;
  • Acting as a liaison between your team and the operations team.

In carrying out these responsibilities, you will collaborate closely with central teams in France who will provide necessary support.

Furthermore, to ensure Nickel's sustainability, you will:

  • Mitigate risks associated with your activities, particularly those related to Anti-Money Laundering;
  • Optimize the resources utilized.
Qualifications

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sales & Distribution Manager/Director role or other managerial positions;
  • Experience in developing and managing retail networks, with direct engagement with German stakeholders such as local shops, associations, and organizations;
  • Expertise in at least one of the following sectors is essential: Lotto, Pre-paid products, Tobacco, Financial Services, Beverages, or other retail-level products;
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities: you will oversee the sales and distribution department and guide its daily operations;
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills;
  • Aptitude for presenting, persuading, and uniting teams;
  • Fluency in both German and English.
