We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at VR Smart Guide GmbH. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing data science models to drive business growth and improve credit risk predictions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deploy new machine learning models to drive business growth and improve credit risk predictions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify valuable data sources and lead the acquisition, integration, and cleaning of diverse data streams.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the infrastructure supporting machine learning models in collaboration with the Data Platform team.
- Continuously monitor and enhance model performance based on business KPIs and improve model accuracy through iterative development and fine-tuning.
- Clearly communicate complex data insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a similar field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist in financial services, fintech, banking, investments, insurance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and strong empathy for small business owners and bank clerks to ensure a user-centric approach to machine learning models.
- Comfortable operating in a quick and in-transition environment and able to make more with less.
- Fluency in English and willingness to travel occasionally to Berlin and/or Eschborn.
