We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at VR Smart Guide GmbH. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing data science models to drive a data-driven business strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deploy new machine learning models to improve credit risk predictions and create data-driven solutions for revenue maximization, cost savings, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify valuable data sources and lead the acquisition, integration, and cleaning of diverse data streams to support model development.
- Clearly communicate complex data insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the infrastructure supporting machine learning models in collaboration with the Data Platform team.
- Continuously monitor and enhance model performance based on business KPIs.
- Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a similar field. Publishing of relevant articles is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist in financial services, fintech, banking, investments, insurance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Strong empathy for small business owners and bank clerks to ensure a user-centric approach to machine learning models.
- Comfortable operating in a quick and in-transition environment.
- Demonstration of resilience and adaptability in the face of challenges, able to pivot when necessary, and maintain focus on delivering value to customers.
- Able to make more with less, a mind for automation and simplification.
- Fluency in English.
- Willing to travel occasionally to Berlin and/or Eschborn.
- We offer a hybrid work environment with locations in Eschborn (near Frankfurt) and Berlin.
