Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain microservices and backend components.
- Ensure optimal performance of databases and responsiveness to front-end requests.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders on the design and integration of system elements.
- Create high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code.
- Implement effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
- Conduct diagnostic tests, repair defects, and provide technical support.
- Document server-side processes, including database schemas, message events, and sagas, while preparing reports.
- Recommend and implement improvements to processes and technologies.
- Stay informed of advancements in AWS and related development fields.
- Participate in code and technical design reviews.
- Estimate workloads and write tasks for yourself and others.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in NodeJS with TypeScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience with user authentication and authorization across multiple systems and environments.
- High familiarity with fundamental design principles behind scalable applications.
- Ability to create database schemas that support business processes.
- Good knowledge of event-driven architecture, message buses, and/or pub/sub systems.
- Proven expertise in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Great organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with git, npm, Docker, and Jira.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Good project management capabilities.
- Extensive experience mentoring teammates in a respectful and educational manner.
