Manufacturing Site Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:

Ferring Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Site Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing site by planning and managing the procurement of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the needs of our manufacturing site, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Plan and manage the procurement of goods and services, including establishing relationships with suppliers and negotiating contracts.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and make recommendations to optimize procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and logistics, to ensure seamless execution of procurement activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement, and implement new ideas and technologies to improve procurement processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as procurement, supply chain management, or business administration.
  • Several years of experience in procurement, preferably in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and other procurement software.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a global environment.
