Biomethane Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Biomethane & eFuels Team as a Biomethane Commercial Manager.

About the Role

As a Biomethane Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of Uniper's biomethane business across Europe. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and implementing new strategic initiatives and opportunities to diversify our sourcing portfolio
  • Developing our understanding of the value of different biomethane qualities based on origin, feedstock, and demand segments
  • Understanding key value drivers and risks of different demand segments to support the growth of our portfolio in Germany and other European countries
  • Sourcing and structuring business opportunities in this area
  • Supporting contract negotiations with biomethane producers, traders, and brokers
  • GHG quota trading and setting up interfaces with producers, traders, and UES counterparties
  • Building strong relationships and collaborating with internal and external key stakeholders across our projects and partnerships
  • Further developing analysis and reporting tools and work processes
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Profound knowledge of energy commodities business
  • University education
  • Commercial thinking and ability to spot opportunities to create value
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Very good communication and language skills, including German
  • Highly motivated, innovative, and out-of-the-box thinking team player
