State Recognition Training for Social Workers

Position: Social Worker and Social Pedagogue at Kreis Nordfriesland

We are offering several roles within the General Social Services, Guardianship Office, and Support Services for adults with disabilities as a developmental opportunity to achieve State recognition as a Social Worker or Social Pedagogue through a structured internship program.

Operational Areas:

General Social Services:

  • Guidance on relationship, separation, and divorce matters
  • Support in custody matters and family court assistance
  • Adoption services including stepchild adoption
  • Referral to appropriate youth support measures
  • Protective interventions for minors facing physical, emotional, or sexual abuse
  • Acting as a legal guardian
  • Youth support during legal proceedings
  • Foster care management

Guardianship Office:

  • Drafting assessments for guardianship court assistance alongside administrative duties
  • Emphasis on providing alternative support in accordance with the subsidiarity principle as per legislative updates
  • Identification and appointment of suitable caregivers in collaboration with guardianship organizations
  • Providing advice and support for caregivers and authorized representatives
  • Engagement in networking, committees, and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Public relations in guardianship law and advance directives, in partnership with guardianship organizations

Support Services for Adults with Disabilities:

  • Overseeing the overall and participation planning process for individuals with disabilities in adult integration services
  • Contributing to social work by enhancing social resources and support frameworks
  • Collaborating with colleagues in the General Social Services department and the Guardianship Office

Qualifications:

  • Completed degree in Social Work or Social Pedagogy
  • Strong understanding of social legislation
  • Empathy and excellent communication abilities
  • Creativity and adaptability
  • Commitment, dedication, and teamwork spirit
  • Proficient IT skills
  • Valid driver's license
