Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Prototyping Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our design-to-build process, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the development of prototype aircraft and components.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the design-to-build process for prototype aircraft and components.
- Work closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and other functions to ensure successful project delivery.
- Plan and coordinate the design-to-build process, including defining requirements, deliverables, and responsibilities.
- Identify and analyze potential project blockers and conflicts, and develop solutions to overcome them.
- Manage and track project budgets, including cost optimization.
- Support the transition process from prototyping production to serial production.
- Develop and manage team-internal and company-wide prototyping procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in project management within a technical environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a technical environment.
- Experience working in a fast-changing project environment, particularly in the research and development phase.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and develop creative solutions.
- Fluent in German and English.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a prototyping environment.
- Experience in the aviation industry.
- Involvement in setting up and standardizing new processes.
