Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Prototyping Project Manager to coordinate and manage the design-to-build process for prototype aircrafts and components. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and other functions to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the design-to-build process for prototype aircrafts and components.
- Plan and coordinate the design-to-build process at the interface with all involved functions.
- Align with and manage involved functions, including the definition of requirements, deliverables, and responsibilities.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve potential project blockers and conflicts between different functions.
- Manage and track the project budget, including cost optimization.
- Support in the transition process from prototyping production to serial production.
- Support in the definition and management of team-internal and company-wide prototyping procedures.
Requirements
- Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, Business Administration with a technical background, or similar.
- 2+ years' experience in project management within a technical environment.
- Ability to communicate in a technical environment.
- Experience in working in a fast-changing project environment, in the research and development phase.
- Ability to encounter changing environments with fast, effective, and creative solutions.
- Showing initiative, taking clear ownership for projects, and having a solution-oriented way of thinking.
- Fluent in German and English.
Preferred Skills
- 2+ years' experience in a prototyping environment.
- Experience in the aviation industry.
- Involvement in setting up and standardizing new processes.
