Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Optimization Algorithm Developer to join our team at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for developing innovative optimization algorithms that incorporate diverse sensor information to generate accurate ground truth localization data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement novel optimization algorithms for sensor fusion in outdoor mobile robotics
  • Evaluate existing approaches and derive new concepts for calculating precise ground truth data
  • Develop and integrate algorithms with ROS in C++/Python
  • Collaborate with our outdoor robot platform CURTmini to evaluate performance and refine algorithms
Requirements
  • Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
  • Profound knowledge of C++/Python programming languages
  • Experience with ROS and data fusion methods
  • Enthusiasm for mobile robotics and willingness to learn
  • Fluent in English or German
