As a researcher at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, you will be working on a cutting-edge project focused on developing a data fusion algorithm for traversability analysis. This project aims to evaluate existing approaches and derive a novel concept for combining multiple traversability information sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a data fusion algorithm for traversability analysis
  • Evaluate existing approaches and derive a novel concept for combining multiple traversability information sources
  • Implement the algorithm using ROS in C++
  • Test and evaluate the performance of the algorithm on our outdoor robot CURTmini
Requirements
  • Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • Profound knowledge of C++
  • Experience with ROS
  • Analytical mindset and experience in algorithm development
  • Enthusiasm for mobile robotics
  • Fluent in English or German
