Lead Data Strategy Manager

The Lead Data Strategy Manager is tasked with spearheading the creation and execution of the HR Data Strategy within the Bauer Media Group. This position will oversee a dedicated team of data specialists and collaborate with HR leaders, technology experts, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions that facilitate informed decision-making in alignment with Bauer's strategic goals.

Your responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement a workforce analytics strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives.
  • Recruit and guide a team of data professionals to provide analytical solutions that support HR and business decisions.
  • Collaborate with HR, technology, and business leaders to pinpoint essential business inquiries that can be addressed through data.
  • Establish and execute metrics, reporting, and dashboards to monitor key HR and business performance indicators.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance data quality across the organization through data collection efforts and process improvement recommendations.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, tools, and technologies in workforce analytics, proposing innovative approaches to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics) with over 8 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in a data leadership role.
  • Proven experience in leading a team of data professionals in delivering data projects.
  • Familiarity with HR processes and terminology is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of HR Systems data models (e.g., SAP Success Factors) and practical experience with Python and PowerBI.
  • Strong conceptual skills and ideally experience in developing an HR data strategy; previous experience in ESG reporting is a plus.
  • Excellent project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while working independently.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable insights.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken German and English.
