Location/Division Specific Information:
Our Bremen facility is a hub for research, development, and production, currently employing around 500 individuals. We specialize in high-end measurement and analysis instruments, particularly mass spectrometers, utilized in scientific research globally. Our cutting-edge products in Life Sciences MS, Inorganic MS, and Trace Elemental Analysis are recognized as leaders in their respective markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and monitor technical issues related to Thermo Fisher Scientific Sector Field Mass Spectrometers across a global installation base.
  • Assist Service Engineers during equipment installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Field Service Organization on various initiatives.
  • Facilitate global software updates.
  • Conduct training for Field Service Engineers, including the preparation of training materials and delivery of training sessions.
  • Create, revise, and disseminate Factory Communication documents on the Factory Product Support website.
  • Report field issues to relevant factory departments (Quality, R&D, Parts & Repair) to enhance quality and contribute to solution development.
  • Engage actively in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and generate corresponding support documentation for new instruments.
Qualifications:
  • Educational background with a graduate-level qualification or equivalent vocational experience in Electronics, Science, and/or Physics; an electronic engineering degree is advantageous.
  • Experience in troubleshooting electronic systems is highly beneficial.
  • Technical familiarity with Thermo Fisher Scientific Element ICP, Element GD, and/or DFS Magnetic Sector GC HR Mass Spectrometers is a plus.
  • Experience in delivering training sessions or workshops is advantageous.
  • Customer-oriented with a strong commercial acumen.
  • Proactive, organized, and eager to engage in self-education and systematic work.
  • Willingness to travel for onsite troubleshooting, training, and installation support (up to 15% of the time).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
