Responsibilities

This position presents a remarkable chance to engage in stimulating projects, enhance essential skills, and gain valuable experience within the design sector.   • Assist the Web Design System team in all facets of developing and advancing the SAP Web Design System.
  • Work closely with application design teams and stakeholders to grasp their requirements and expectations.
  • Generate design specifications for components based on detailed requirements.
  • Showcase designs, collect feedback, and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Engage in usability testing preparation (including prototype development).
  • Produce guideline articles that clarify the application of various components and patterns.
  • Ensure compliance of designs with product standards (including Accessibility Standards).
  • Collaborate effectively with our Web Design System team both in-person and remotely.

Qualifications

  • Availability to contribute 10-20 hours weekly to our team, both in-person and remotely.
  • Access to reliable and stable internet for remote work.
  • Language proficiency: Fluent in English and German.
  • Familiarity with and experience in applying the complete design process.
  • Strong understanding of Figma.
  • Experience in designing components and patterns.
  • Knowledge of design system principles and the ability to create and implement a scalable, reusable design system.
  • Ability to design user-centric elements that enhance intuitive experiences.
  • Detail-oriented and organized in your work approach.
  • Basic knowledge of coding (e.g., CSS, HTML, and JavaScript is advantageous).

About Your Team

The SAP Design System Team is dedicated to evolving the SAP design system, design language, and best practices to enhance overall design quality and development efficiency. We establish the core elements that distinguish SAP Products. We create the Design Systems that bring our language to life and develop standards and guidelines to ensure consistency.

Your application documents should include a cover letter, a resume in table format, school leaving certificates, proof of enrollment, current university transcript, copies of any academic degrees obtained, and references from previous employers (including internships, if applicable). Please also detail your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs/programming languages.
