Role Overview

This position presents a distinctive chance to engage in stimulating projects, hone essential skills, and gain experience within the design sector. • Develop a component library to maintain uniformity across applications

• Create clear and concise documentation for utilizing various components and variables

• Keep the library updated and version-controlled

• Design responsive components with variants and booleans for reuse by Designers

• Collaborate closely with our Figma team, both in-person and remotely

Qualifications


• Currently pursuing a relevant degree (Graphic Design, UX/UI Design, etc.)

• Able to contribute 10-20 hours weekly to our team, both in-person and remotely

• Reliable internet connection for remote work

• Strong proficiency in Figma

• Proven experience in developing component libraries

• Understanding of design system principles and ability to create and implement scalable, reusable design systems

• Detail-oriented and organized in your work approach

• Familiarity with fundamental design principles such as color theory, typography, and layout

• Capable of designing user-centric elements that enhance intuitive experiences

• Basic knowledge of coding (CSS, HTML, and JavaScript is advantageous)

• Understanding of managing and updating component versions

• Language proficiency: Fluent in English and German

About Your Team

The SAP Design System Team is dedicated to advancing the SAP design system, design language, and best practices to enhance overall design quality and development efficiency. We establish the core principles that distinguish SAP Products. We create the Design Systems that bring our vision to life and set standards to ensure consistency.

Your application should include a cover letter, a resume in table format, school leaving certificates, proof of enrollment, current university transcript, copies of any academic degrees obtained, and, if available, references from previous employers (including internships). Please also outline your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs/programming languages.
