IT Department Leader

Korneli Unger Personalberatung GmbH is a prominent consulting firm specializing in the healthcare and social services sector. With nearly two decades of expertise, we excel in connecting talented professionals with suitable roles in this vital industry.

We are currently seeking a qualified individual for a prestigious organization within the healthcare and social services domain, who will take on the role of IT Department Leader.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire IT department
  • Develop and execute the strategic direction for IT
  • Ensure the effective operation and enhancement of IT infrastructure
  • Lead and manage digital transformation initiatives
  • Administer budgetary allocations and oversee cost management for all IT functions, including procurement
  • Implement a materials management and cost accounting framework
  • Collaborate with data protection and information security personnel
  • Guide a distributed IT team and facilitate departmental meetings
  • Supervise external IT service providers and direct IT projects
  • Assist management in formulating the IT strategy
  • Research and assess emerging technologies for ongoing enhancement
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge exchange
  • Identify and evaluate IT-related risks
  • Represent the IT department in both internal and external engagements
  • Formulate and refine digital emergency protocols
  • Create an internal reporting framework
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in IT leadership positions, ideally within the healthcare and social services sectors
  • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management, IT Infrastructure Management, and ITIL practices
  • Experience with funding processes in healthcare and social services is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a high degree of accountability
  • Service-oriented approach
