Chemical Engineer - Computerized Systems

We are pleased to present an engaging opportunity for a Chemical Engineer specializing in Computerized Systems within our Analytical Services division. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Chromatography Data Systems (CDS), and software solutions for laboratory equipment align with the needs of our internal stakeholders, including laboratories and quality assurance teams, while adhering to pertinent standards such as DIN ISO 17025.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee projects aimed at enhancing our LIMS and CDS platforms, including the preparation of essential documentation for compliance and controlled system operations.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to assist LIMS users, defining their requirements and evaluating project viability.
  • Generate change requests for implementation by the global LIMS team, ensuring progress tracking and result reporting.
  • Serve as the system administrator for local computerized laboratory systems and maintain the Master Laboratory Control System (MLCS) within the Quality Management department.
  • Draft and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relevant to your area of expertise.
  • Represent system compliance during customer audits and regulatory inspections.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in natural sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience with LIMS, CDS systems, and the validation of computerized laboratory systems.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems such as DIN ISO 9001, 17025/17034, and knowledge of GAMP 5.
  • Demonstrated reliability and a structured, goal-oriented work ethic.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
