Lead Security Program Coordinator

The Lead Security Program Coordinator at ZEISS Group is tasked with overseeing, facilitating, and organizing all initiatives within the Security Engineer Program Office. This role serves as the primary liaison for program organization, establishing, enabling, and monitoring operational guidelines and principles to ensure effective collaboration and productivity within the programs. The coordinator is responsible for the formation and management of Security Engineer working groups, ensuring their proper functioning and deliverables. Additionally, this position involves documenting, maintaining, and updating critical information and decisions related to the programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically manage, plan, execute, and monitor the project portfolio to enhance the ZEISS Security Engineer (ZSE) program, including community engagement and participant management.
  • Develop a comprehensive reporting and governance framework to effectively oversee the ZSE project portfolio.
  • Conduct onboarding sessions for new and existing Security Engineers, tailoring personalized learning plans to align with business needs.
  • Transform general administrative tasks into specific projects, such as optimizing the ZSE onboarding process for improved efficiency and user experience.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and implement quick solutions using tools like MS Power Automate or other rapid RPA technologies.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance the ZSE program to improve administrative processes, educational offerings, and community engagement.
  • Maintain consistent, KPI-driven communication with Security Engineers, developing communication strategies to support change management initiatives.
  • Facilitate community structures to promote knowledge sharing and team building among InfoSec groups while addressing ZEISS business requirements.
  • Assess, select, and manage external partners for organizing internal team-building events, award ceremonies, and conferences to foster a robust ZSE community.
  • Stay informed on trends and developments in Information Security, evaluating their relevance and impact on ZEISS and the ZSE program.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance InfoSec educational programs, ensuring content quality and relevance.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in solution development and operations, with roles such as Agile Coach, Product Owner, or Project Manager.
  • Proven experience in secure digital solution design or development within large organizations.
  • Strong understanding of Secure DevOps practices and experience with secure CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise in community management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with staff training, e-learning, and knowledge management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with various leadership levels across business and technical domains.
  • A demonstrated passion for tackling complex problems and delivering innovative, high-quality solutions.
  • General proficiency in Information Security principles.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with technical leadership capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of industry security standards and technologies, such as ISO27002.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and make informed decisions in time-sensitive situations.
  • A proactive approach and a high degree of independence.
  • Proficient in English and German, with additional languages being advantageous.
  • Experience in leading initiatives and managing global teams with matrix resources.
