Project Manager: Highways and Civil Engineering

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Manager to lead our high-profile projects in highways and civil engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from planning to execution and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall project management and leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Team management and leadership, including the supervision of project engineers, technicians, and other support staff.
  • Ensuring the implementation of safety, health, and environmental (SHE) policies and procedures, and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Effective communication and negotiation with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
  • Procurement and contract management, including the selection and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Quality management, ensuring that all projects meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Project documentation and reporting, including the preparation of project reports, progress updates, and other relevant documentation.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the highways and civil engineering sector.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Knowledge of LEAN principles and methodologies.
