Position Overview

Luxury Retail Department Leader

We are currently in search of a Department Leader who will report directly to the Store Manager for our establishment.

Your Role

The Department Leader is responsible for fostering a client-centric approach within their teams to ensure the achievement of both quantitative and qualitative objectives set for the department. Acting as a brand ambassador, they are proactive sales professionals who align with the goals and processes established by the Store Director. They play a crucial role in the development of their team by leading, motivating, and coaching individuals to meet set targets and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth:

Implement strategic action plans in collaboration with HQ and the Store Director, ensuring thorough follow-up. Regularly analyze business performance based on corporate metrics. Set specific quantitative and qualitative targets for the department team(s). Provide high-quality feedback and reporting to the Store Manager or Store team. Build strong relationships with Inventory and Buying stakeholders, proactively communicating needs. Monitor the competitive landscape and business environment. Keep the store team informed about overall Store performance.

Team Leadership and Development:

Foster a positive work atmosphere that aligns with brand values. Collaborate with Recruitment and HR partners to attract, recruit, develop, and retain top talent. Inspire and challenge the team to achieve business results and enhance job satisfaction. Assist the Store Manager in cultivating a motivated and knowledgeable team in the fashion and luxury sectors.

Brand Advocacy:

Serve as a brand ambassador, promoting the brand culture both internally and externally. Ensure consistent execution of brand signature and client experience. Facilitate the recruitment, development, and retention of clients across various segments.

Process Oversight:

Ensure compliance with legal, safety, security, and internal standards. Execute team planning on a weekly and monthly basis, communicating effectively with the Store Manager. Continuously assess and enhance current processes for improved efficiency.

Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Business: sales density, conversion rate, units per transaction, cross-selling rate, transaction volume. Team: sales productivity, training completion rates, turnover rates, absence levels. Client: local retention rates, customer engagement scores, recruiting rates, regained clients, prospects, retention rates. Process: CRM, omnichannel, back-office operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Commitment to participating in innovative projects. Strong product awareness and knowledge of market/fashion trends. Previous experience in a managerial role. Significant background in the luxury sector with a client portfolio. Client-focused mindset emphasizing engagement and loyalty. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Adaptable, open-minded, and possessing strong listening skills. High availability and responsiveness. Exceptional interpersonal abilities. Positive attitude with a desire for continuous learning and improvement. Proficient in digital skills. Fluent in English and German.
