Job Summary

OHB System AG's System Software division is seeking a Senior Software Development Team Lead to provide leadership to the team, inspiring a culture of excellence, collaboration, responsibility, and trust. The ideal candidate will have several years of professional experience in software engineering of complex systems, high communication and leadership skills, and advanced proficiency in English and German or willingness to learn German.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the team and foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, responsibility, and trust.
  • Foster the professional growth of team members through mentorship, training, and constructive feedback.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of Satellite Control Software engineering.
  • Support the introduction of new processes and tools, implementing process improvements within the department.
  • Collaborate across teams and with Software Division management colleagues to ensure cross-project knowledge transfer and promote standardization.
  • Analyze and monitor personnel staffing needs for individual projects and participate in the recruitment process.
  • Support the resolution of conflicts.

Requirements

  • Completed studies in a suitable field (aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, etc.) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in software engineering of complex systems.
  • High degree of communication and leadership skills, including the ability to work in a team, a sense of responsibility, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Advanced proficiency in English and German or willingness to learn German.
