Job Title: Team Lead SCSW Development

Job Description:

OHB System AG, a leading space company in Europe, is seeking a highly skilled Team Lead for its SCSW Development team. As a key member of our System Software division, you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers in the development of embedded control software and software infrastructure for satellites and satellite-based instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of software engineers in the development of satellite control software, from requirements engineering to implementation and testing.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and trust within the team.
  • Develop and implement processes and tools to improve software engineering efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure knowledge transfer, standardization, and communication of overarching information.
  • Support the recruitment and staffing of personnel for individual projects.
  • Resolve conflicts and provide guidance to team members.

Requirements:

  • Completed studies in a suitable field (aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, etc.) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in software engineering of complex systems.
  • High degree of communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a team, a sense of responsibility, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Advanced proficiency in English and proficiency in German or willingness to learn German.
