Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Lead Environment Artist to join our team at CRYTEK. As a key member of our art team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day management of the environment art team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality assets on time, and maintaining the art vision and style set out by the Art Director.
Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead the day-to-day management of the environment art team, including regular appraisal, review, and objective setting for the team.
- Communication and Coordination: Ensure good communication and coordination between the environment art team and other disciplines of the bigger team.
- Recruitment and Selection: Assist with recruitment and selection of staff for the team.
- Project Planning: Prepare task schedules for the environment art team in conjunction with Artists, Art Project Managers, Producers, and other Project Managers.
- Schedule Monitoring: Monitor and update schedules for the environment art team in conjunction with Artists, Art Project Managers, Producers, and other Project Managers.
- Art Asset Standards: Ensure good art asset standards are set and achieved across the team.
- Art Vision and Style: Maintain the art vision and style set out by the Art Director.
- Extensive Games Experience: At least 1 AAA title shipped as a Lead Artist.
- Management and Project Planning Experience: Proven experience in management and project planning.
- Recruitment/Interviewing Experience: Experience in recruitment and interviewing.
- Excellent Understanding of Production Procedures: Excellent understanding of production procedures and software employed in the team.
- Expert Understanding of Game Art Processes: Expert understanding of current game art processes, limitations, and dependencies.
- Strong Ability to Create Realistic Environments: Strong ability to create believable, realistic environments in a real-time engine.
- Good Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills.
