Senior Environment Artist

Crytek is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environment Artist to join our Hunt: Showdown team. As a key member of our art team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, photorealistic environments that bring our game to life.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with lead artists and other team members to ensure consistency in environment asset creation and implementation.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our game's style guide to ensure consistency across all environments.
- Create believable and immersive environments within CRYENGINE, utilizing your expertise in 3D modeling, texturing, and lighting.
- Work closely with the tech-art department to optimize workflow and improve the overall quality of our game's environments.
- Supervise and mentor junior artists, providing guidance and feedback to help them grow professionally.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, exploring new tools and techniques to enhance our game's visuals.
- Work collaboratively with level designers and other studio groups to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality results.
- Meet deadlines and maintain a high level of quality in all work produced.
- 5+ years of experience in game development, with a strong focus on environment art.
- Expert understanding of current game art processes, limitations, and dependencies.
- Strong ability to create believable, realistic environments in a real-time engine.
- Proficiency in 3ds Max or Blender, Photoshop, Substance Designer/Painter, and ZBrush.
- Strong knowledge of common real-time game engines.
- Established interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and supervise mid-level and junior artists.
- Ability to deliver and receive constructive feedback, with a positive and problem-solving attitude.
- Good English communication and writing skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with CRYENGINE and procedural content creation.
- Experience with photogrammetry and outsourcing.
