Lead Environment Artist

Crytek is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Environment Artist to join our team. As a key member of our art team, you will be responsible for leading the creation of high-quality environment assets for our AAA title, Crysis 4.
Responsibilities- Lead the day-to-day management of the art team, ensuring timely delivery of assets and maintaining high standards of quality.
- Collaborate with the Art Director to develop and implement the art vision and style for the project.
- Manage and plan the art team's workload, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting project deadlines.
- Recruit and select staff for the team, ensuring the right skills and experience are in place to deliver the project's art requirements.
- Liaise with external service providers as needed, ensuring seamless integration with the project's art pipeline.
- Prepare and monitor task schedules for the art team, ensuring timely completion of tasks and assets.
- Define and enforce good working practices and structure for the project, based on scope and resources.
- Maintain high standards of art asset quality across the team, ensuring consistency and excellence in all aspects of environment art.
- Extensive experience in game development, with a strong background in environment art.
- At least one AAA title shipped as a Lead Artist, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality assets on time.
- Strong management and project planning skills, with experience in leading teams and managing multiple projects.
- Excellent understanding of production procedures and software employed in the team, including current game art processes, limitations, and dependencies.
- Strong ability to create believable, realistic environments in a real-time engine, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for innovation.
- Good interpersonal and motivational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
- Able to manage, plan, and organize time effectively, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines, with a strong sense of urgency and a willingness to adapt to changing project requirements.
