Role Overview: Senior Account Executive - ESG Solutions

ISS STOXX is seeking a Senior Account Executive to enhance our sales initiatives within the DACH regions, focusing on our comprehensive suite of Responsible Investment Solutions. This includes offerings such as Climate Data, Ratings & Rankings, Controversies, Impact & SDGs, and Regulatory Solutions.

To excel in this position, candidates must possess a proven history of sales success within financial institutions and a genuine passion for Sustainable and Responsible Investments, particularly in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) domains.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of technical proficiency, meticulous attention to detail, an understanding of front office requirements, and exceptional collaboration capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed revenue and renewal targets by identifying and securing ESG sales opportunities and upselling to current clients.
  • Enhance ISS' ESG market presence and reputation within the investment management and asset owner sectors.
  • Continuously evaluate ESG market prospects, develop and refine a strategic sales plan for the territory, and engage with management.
  • Provide detailed sales and renewal reporting along with accurate forecasting.
  • Collaborate closely with ISS Business Development Representatives and Marketing teams to define product offerings, services, and marketing strategies.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with existing clients and potential prospects.
  • Document all client interactions and meeting details in the firm's CRM system.
  • Share pertinent industry insights and opportunities with the sales team and other departments.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in institutional sales and relationship management, with a focus on achieving revenue objectives.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record in relationship management, business development, and revenue generation, whether through direct sales or strategic partnerships.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities and sound judgment for prioritizing tasks.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
  • Unwavering personal and professional integrity.
  • Proficiency in both German and English is essential.
